law 2: the law of influence
leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less. Mother Theresa is an example of someone who influences others. She leads without regard to critics, she promotes what she believes in. Management myth: leadership influences people to follow, mngt is maintain a process or system. leadership can cause change in other people. Entrepreneur myth: see opportunities but not always good with people. Knowledge myth: some people are smart but can't cause people to change their ways. Pioneer myth: being first not the same as leading, must have intential followers. Trendsetters need to have followers and check his influence. Even if you have the proper credentials, insights, position, or title unless people will be influenced by you. You must find the influencer of a group then try to get them to follow you. To be a leader must have several factors: character: inner person, integrity, relationships: who they know, build relationships with the right people, knowledge: grasp of the fact to be successful, intuition: what they feel, experience: need to have some past or build it now, past successes: what you have done: execute, ability: what you can do to lead team to victory.
